Two kinds of people
Posted on November 7th, 2008 1 commentIn life, there are two two kind of people. Those who give up easily, and those who don’t.
Let’s face it: life will give you many challenge and throw many obstacles at you. I’ve have “unbreakable, carefully planned” projects completely blow on me for totally unexpected reasons. I had the most unlikely events in the universe happen to me, all at once. Which had lead me to the following conclusions:
Everyone has dreams. Projects. Ideals. The only difference between people is that some, the majority, will give them up for the feeling of safety as they grow up while a very little minority will keep working hard and believing in themselves to eventually suceed.
There is only one key in life, in fact: work hard. Work hard to achieve your projects. Work even harder if you’re not the best. Work even harder when you’re best to stay at the top. Luck is something you can’t control and will come, eventually. If you don’t do that, if you don’t work, then you’ve just become like every other people. You’ve given up on your dreams and lost your ambitions just like every other person on earth.
You must NEVER give up, no matter what. Even if the sky falls on you. Even if every person tells you to stop. Even if your mother, your father and all your friends team up against you. Even if you start doubting about yourself. Even if you stand no chance of sucess. You NEVER know what can happen. And if you don’t try to the maximum, until your last ressource, you will never know just how far you could have gone and this will haunt you all your life.
Fear of failure is so strong in people they all give up before trying. If that doesn’t do it, fear of rejection, fear of being judged, fear of looking weird or at the very least fear of being alone will braek most people. It can also be a need for safety and you might give up your dreams to afford a house and food. Still, I do believe it is better to be poor and yourself than rich and lost. If you do not believe in yourself, no one will.
